Through the Teeth and Eyes Speakers Bureau, Charles Reese curates interactive programming that educates, informs, and inspires. Audiences will bear witness to signature programs that bring the literary work of James Baldwin to life through performative storytelling. While, Reese also delivers tools and tips for creatives to navigate showcasing their art in the digital space.  ​​

An Evening in History with James Baldwin, Featuring Charles Reese is an immersive, fun, thought-provoking experience! The salon series blends elements of social commentary, audience participation, laughter, memory, and powerful excerpts from the Off-Broadway Play "James Baldwin A Soul on Fire by Howard B. Simon, edited by Charles Reese (now available on Amazon.)

Reese takes the audience through profound accounts of Black joy, pain, work, and triumph. It is riveting, contemporary, and bold. Not only a celebration but an exploration of Baldwin's timeless words and sentiments, encouraging viewers to bear witness and hold the mirror to oneself.

Celebrating James Baldwin at 100
August 2, 2024 will mark the 100th birthday of Activist, Novelist and Playwright James Baldwin. Charles Reese is excited to announce plans for a year-long celebratory tour (with appearances both in the United States and abroad) honoring the life and legacy of Baldwin. Now booking for 2024-2025, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, museums, and libraries are invited to explore how "An Evening In History with James Baldwin, Featuring Charles Reese is the perfect way to celebrate 100 YEARS OF BALDWIN! 

"Celebrating James Baldwin at 100: Reimagining, Remaking Ourselves and Each Other will serve as our yearlong theme for this centennial commemoration as we bear witness and remember one of the greatest writers of our time." says Reese.
